INTERLINK Language Centers Inc. based in the US has a partnership agreement with Al Yamamah University and has been running the English Preparatory Program for YU since 2004. Offered for all YU students, males and females, the INTERLINK at YU English Preparatory Program consists of 8 levels running for 8 weeks each. Community English Language Program (CELP) classes run back to back classes that run 8:30 – 10:30 and 10:30 – 12:30 daily and they target students with zero to elementary level English. The actual Orientation classes (ORN) are 5 levels of English that run 8:30 – 10:30 for the Reading and Writing classes and 1:30 – 3:30 for the communication classes. During the break between the two classes students can take Al Yamamah courses.

Student accepted to the university will take the INTERLINK placement test and will be placed into the appropriate level. Students take a TOEFL ITP as part of the completion requirement for the English program. The students graduated from the program are expected to be at B2.1 or above based on the Common European Framework. They are expected to achieve a minimum of 5.5 on IELTS (Academic) and 65 on TOEFL iBT.
